Traveling to or from Cape Cod during the peak season? Bridge traffic can truly put a dark cloud over your vacation plans. Use these tips to help avoid spending your trip bakin' in the car instead of bakin' on the beach!

      • In general, avoid peak travel times between 11 am and 2 pm.
      • If it's a rainy day, try to avoid travelling first thing in the morning - everyone else has the same idea. Instead, check out one of Cape Cod's great museums (visit CapeCod.com's Museum Listings) or go shopping (visit CapeCod.com's Shopping Listings for ideas).
      • Likewise on a sunny day, you may want to start your trip a little earlier because most visitors are going to want to stay and enjoy the weather as long as possible. Outsmart them... leave early.
      • When all else fails, travel in the late night or early morning hours. Cape Cod is an even more serene environment when the rest of the world sleeps!
