19-year-old from Bourne killed in Plymouth crash

PLYMOUTH – A Bourne man was killed in a single car motor vehicle crash Wednesday night, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

At approximately 7:34 PM on Wednesday, Plymouth Police received a 911 call for a report of a motor vehicle into a telephone pole in the area of 100 Herring Pond Road in Plymouth and Plymouth Police and emergency medical personnel responded. The driver, a male and the sole occupant in the vehicle, was transported to Beth Israel Hospital in Plymouth where he was pronounced dead of his injuries at 8:26 PM. The man has been identified as Jason Comoletti, 19, of Bourne.

Preliminary investigation, including witness interviews, determined that Comoletti lost control of his vehicle when he attempted to navigate a corner. Comoletti’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a telephone pole on the right shoulder, severing the pole.

The crash was investigated by State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, Plymouth Police, and the State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section (CARS) Unit.
