HYANNIS – Rescue crews were busy with 2 accidents in close proximity to each other within an hour Tuesday.
At around 12:45 p.m., there was a 2 vehicle accident on Route 132 at Shootflying Hill Road in West Barnstable.
A sedan was reportedly rear-ended by a box truck. There were no injuries.
About an hour later there was a 2 vehicle accident on Route 28 at Yarmouth Road in Hyannis. The first report was that one vehicle was on fire.
On arrival of first responders the fire was out. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to Cape Cod Hospital with unknown injuries.
Traffic was backed up on both roads until the scene was cleared.
