– Brewster Police report that on Sunday at 7:00 p.m., they were called to the Brewster Farms Market at 2771 Main Street (Route 6A) regarding an armed robbery that had just occurred. Police arrived on scene and took statements from the owner and his wife who were present at the time. They described a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, came into the store and approached the counter with an item to purchase. When the clerk opened the drawer, the suspect produced a black handgun, pointing it at the clerk, and then reached into the cash drawer, where he grabbed an unspecified amount of cash and fled the area on foot, heading east.

A K-9 track was performed with the assistance of the Dennis Police, which did track east but was inconclusive. Police reviewed surveillance video at the scene and where able to observe a white male with a beard, wearing a blue hat, green shirt, and blue jeans.

The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the collection of evidence at the scene and is working on enhancing the video images.

Anyone with information related to the case is encouraged to contact Detective Sergeant Judge or Detective Marshall at the Brewster Police Department at 508-896-7011.
