Bomb threat made on Orleans business

ORLEANS – Orleans Police are investigating a bomb threat made to a local business late Saturday afternoon.

Shortly after 5 p.m., a threat was made on the Hot Chocolate Sparrow in the center of town.

Area business and roadways were evacuated and the State Police Bomb Squad was notified.

Nothing was found and the cafe and surrounding area was reopened to employees and customers. Eastham and Harwich Police and the Orleans Fire Department assisted in the response.

The incident remains under investigation and no further information was immediately available.
