BOSTON – Update: The Coast Guard has suspended its search Wednesday for a possible missing person in the vicinity of Black Rock Creek near the Merrimack River, in Newburyport.
Previous story: A Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Cape Cod has joined local police in a search for a possible missing person in Black Rock Creek, near the entrance of the Merrimack River, Newburyport on the North Shore.
The Salisbury Police Department reported to Coast Guard at midnight of someone hearing a call for help. The police also reported hearing the cries from shore.
A 29-foot response boat crew from Coast Guard Station Merrimack River and the Cape-based helicopter crew are searching the area.
