SANDWICH – Sandwich firefighters were busy with two crashes Saturday morning. About 7 AM, a vehicle struck a tree on Route 6A. The driver was taken to a hospital with a possible head injury.
Shortly before 8:30 AM, a Toyota Avalon struck a utility pole on Snake Pond Road near Snake Pond. The driver was not injured but the pole was snapped and wires brought down causing a power outage in the Forestdale area. About 500 customers stretching into part of Falmouth were affected by the outage.
Both crashes are under investigation by Sandwich Police
