Carnival Parade to cause detours, parking restrictions in Provincetown on Thursday

PROVINCETOWN – Provincetown Police are reminding everyone that this Thursday there will be a temporary parking restriction on Commercial Street, from the blinking light at the intersection of Bradford Street all the way down to Franklin Street proximate to the Coast Guard Station, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM for the 38th annual Provincetown Carnival Parade Celebration.

On certain streets, one or both sides will be posted as no-parking zones, either because the parade is coming through, or to allow for emergency vehicle access if needed. Parking restrictions will be well-marked, and violators will be subject to fines and possibly towing.

Delivery vehicles will be allowed to complete their routes until the 12:00 PM deadline.

Snail Road will be closed to all traffic beginning at 1:30 PM for purposes of staging the parade.

Travelers are asked to seek alternative routes during the posted times.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Provincetown Police wish you a Safe and Enjoyable CARNIVAL PARADE…..
