Dennis Police welcome new officer to the force

DENNIS – Dennis Police Officer Brendan Sullivan graduated from the Plymouth Police Academy 63rd Recruit Officers’ Course on Friday, April 14.  

According to Chief Peter Dimatteo, following his appointment, Sullivan will begin a 12- week Field Training Officer program with the Department.

Officer Sullivan began his career at the Dennis Police Department as a Cadet in the summer of 2013.

He then became a part-time Dispatcher in September of 2013, and a full-time Dispatcher in September of 2014.

Sullivan put himself through the Reserve Academy in Plymouth while working as a full time Dispatcher, and then was appointed as a year round Reserve Officer in June of 2015.

Sullivan has an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Cape Cod Community College.

He’s currently enrolled at Bridgewater State University working towards his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
