Falmouth Police arrest Mashpee man for trafficking cocaine


FALMOUTH
– A probation violation led to a seizure of over 29 grams of cocaine. Sunday evening Falmouth Police sought out Brice Hicks, Jr, 37, of Mashpee, for an outstanding arrest warrant for a probation violation.

He was later located at a residence in Falmouth. As he was being arrested, Hicks resisted while several people interfered with the officers’ actions. A subsequent search of a pair shoes Hicks was holding led to the discovery of a large amount of cocaine.

Hicks was charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Obstruction of Justice, Resisting Arrest, and other offenses. Trafficking drugs is a more serious offense then unlawful distribution of drugs and mere possession of drugs.
