HYANNIS – At about 12:15 PM Tuesday afternoon, there was an accident involving two flatbed trucks on Route 132 near Phinney’s Lane in Hyannis. The hood of one truck ended up on the rear of the second one, an 18-wheeler. Both drivers were transported to Cape Cod Hospital with unknown injuries.
Debris from the trucks plus a fluid spill led to a second accident involving at least two more vehicles with minor damage and no injuries. A town sanding truck was called to the scene due to the amount of fluids in the roadway. The crash is under investigation by Barnstable Police.
