Followup: 3 face larceny and vandalism charges in Bourne


BOURNE – Bourne Police recently asked for a little help trying to locate the skid steer bandit(s) (See original story here). Police say they got a lot of responses back and that little did go a long way. Those responses, along with the determined efforts of their detectives and the detectives over at the Falmouth Police Department led to the arrest of three local men and the recovery of the missing skid steer.

During the course of this investigation, they received tips and leads from near and far about this caper. Police were even able to receive the assistance of a laboratory in Florida who voluntarily enhanced the video for them.

Bourne police appreciate and are humbled by all of those who helped spread the word, and all of those tips that came in to us which helped nab the three suspects.

The efforts of all led to the arrest of Scott R. Geggatt, 50, Christopher C. Tavares, 26, and Ryan J, Tavares, 20, all of Falmouth. All three were charged with Larceny of a Motor Vehicle (Felony), Larceny over $250 (Felony), Malicious or Wanton Defacing or Damaging of Property (Felony), and Conspiracy (Misdemeanor). They are set to be arraigned in Falmouth District Court.
