Great White Shark detected near Nauset Beach

ORLEANS – A great white shark sighting Monday morning prompted a warning for bathers to get out of the water at Nauset beach in Orleans.

The Sharktivity app operated by the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy alerted people about the sighting that was described as close to shore.

People were allowed back into the water after it was determined the waters were clear.
