Update: Man shot in Wareham in stable condition; refusing to cooperate with police

WAREHAM – Wareham Police have identified the man shot in Wareham Thursday on Nicholas Drive.

Christopher Turner, 33, of Wareham, is in stable condition in a Rhode Island hospital, but is reportedly not cooperating with investigators.

Officers responded to the area at around 8 p.m. Thursday for reports of gunshots heard outside a thickly settled neighborhood.

While responding to the call, police learned that Turner had been transported in a private vehicle to Tobey Hospital in Wareham, seeking treatment for two gunshot wounds.

He has since refuse to talk with investigators about the shooting.
