PROVINCETOWN
– A mariner is safe on dry land after an ordeal in Provincetown Harbor. The unidentified boater was able to call 911 after his 19-foot Mako began taking on water just inside the breakwater in the harbor. The Provincetown Harbormaster’s Office raced to the scene and was able to tow the vessel to MacMillan Wharf. The Coast Guard responded with two pumps to dewater the vessel. It was not immediately clear what caused the vessel to begin taking on water.
