Mashpee Police Chief presents service awards, announces promotions

MASHPEE – During a promotional ceremony Friday in the Mashpee Police Department’s roll call room, Chief Scott Carline presented several officers and employees with distinguished service awards as well as promotional advancements.

The event was held to reflect on events that had taken place over the past year and recognize employees for their hard work and dedication.

The room was filed with several town representatives as well as close family and friends of Master Officer Michael Assad as he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Officer Meredith Our was promoted to the rank of Master Officer, becoming the first female employee within the department to attain supervisory rank.

Officer Kristopher Threlkeld was awarded the department’s first “Officer Of The Year” award.

Dispatcher Jennifer Berry was awarded the “Employee Of The Year” award.

Officer Carl Delorme and Dispatch Supervisor Scott Halligan were both honored with “Distinguished Service Awards” for having served the department for 25 years.

Detective William Couzzo was awarded the “Meritorious Service Award”.

Special Officer/Victim Advocate Tara Carline, Officer Michelle Princi, Officer Joseph Catanese and Master Officer Ryan Nardone were awarded the “Team Award” for service within the Community Policing Unit.
