NANTUCKET – Nantucket Police have issued a road closure advisory related to water main replacement work on Monday and Tuesday.
The intersection at Milk Steet, Prospect Street and Quaker Lane will be closed.
On Monday, water main replacement work will be on Milk Street working toward Quaker Lane.
Midday Monday the intersection at Milk/Quaker/Prospect will be closed. This intersection work will continue into Tuesday morning and then work will begin on Prospect Street and the intersection will reopen.
Construction crews will be on Prospect St. for the remainder of the week and beyond.
While the intersection at Milk/Quaker/Prospect is closed Monday and Tuesday, the alternate truck route will be in place for access to the Cliff/Madaket area.
No parking signage will be installed along Easton St., lower Cliff, South Beach St. and Broad St. to allow for two-way truck traffic in those areas.
