BOURNE – A 55-year-old woman from New Bedford was killed Thursday in a single-car car on Route 25 westbound at Exit 3 in Bourne.
State Police said a 2004 Pontiac Aztek was traveling onto Route 25 when the vehicle went off the right side of the road striking a snow bank and rolling onto the roof.
It’s unknown why Rosemarie Machado went off the road.
Good Samaritans stopped and began to administer CPR to Machado, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Bourne EMT’s transported the woman to Tobey Hospital in Wareham where she was pronounced dead.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by State Police, Bourne Fire and Mass DOT.
