Oak Bluffs man arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl

OAK BLUFFS – An Oak Bluffs man has been arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl on Martha’s Vineyard.

Oak Bluffs Police said officers assigned to the Martha’s Vineyard Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 466A County Road Tuesday afternoon.

It was obtained following a lengthy investigation into heroin and fentanyl distribution on the island.

John Hathaway Jr., 48, was taken into custody on drug trafficking charges.

Another person in the home, Thomas Wilkens, 22,  was found to be in possession of percocet and suboxone. A criminal complaint will be filed against him.
