PROVINCETOWN – In its 4th year, OPERATION SAFERIDE provides free and sober rides home on New Year’s Eve.

Here is how it works………..

Operation Safe Ride provides citizens and visitors a free ride home starting at 10 p.m. on Thursday, December 31st until 4 a.m. on Friday, January 1st 2016. This outreach is designed specifically to limit impaired drivers on our roadways and to keep our community safe.

Anyone who needs a safe and sober ride home on New Year’s Eve from a licensed liquor establishment to a residence in either Provincetown/Truro/Wellfleet/Eastham/Orleans should simply call one of our designated community-partnership taxi companies for a free ride home.

The service will run from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and will be call based, from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. as long as you make a reservation in advance the service would still be free.
