EASTHAM – Work crews began paving on Route 6 in Eastham Monday between the Salt Pond Visitor’s Center and Samoset Road.
The work is to repave the southbound travel lane which was excavated last fall to install water main pipes. During construction, Route 6 will remain open, however lane restrictions will occur.
Eastham Police urge drivers to allow extra time if travelling through the area and be cautious of construction crews working.
Officers will be assigned to the area to help keep traffic moving as smoothly as possible.
