HYANNIS – Paving construction at the Kalmus Beach parking lot in Hyannis beginning this week will temporarily restrict access to the area.
Beginning Thursday, improvements will include general cleanup and sweeping of the existing parking area, application of a new asphalt pavement overlay and line striping.
Work is expected to be completed by April 7, 2017 weather permitting.
Vehicle access to the parking area during construction operations will be restricted. Visitors are advised to seek alternate beach locations to avoid the construction work.
Operations will start promptly at 7 AM and run until 5 PM, after which time traffic will be allowed back into the beach parking lot.
