Three arrested for alleged heroin and cocaine distribution in Hyannis area

HYANNIS – Barnstable Police report that over the past month, detectives have been investigating Frank Fagone, 33, of Buzzards Bay, Connor Fay, 23 of Plymouth, and Candace Johnson, 32 of Sandwich for distributing large quantities of heroin and cocaine in and around Hyannis.

During the investigation, detectives conducted undercover purchases of narcotics and also conducted surveillance of the suspects. During a recent surveillance, Detectives observed numerous drug transactions conducted by both Fagone and Fay. The transactions took place at a Hyannis motel that the suspects were staying in. As a result of the investigation, Det. Brian Guiney obtained a search warrant for the motel room. The search warrant was executed Wednesday. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 31 grams of heroin, 9 grams of crack cocaine, 5 Adderall Tablets, cutting agents, digital scales, packaging materials and approximately $4,500.00 US Currency.

Both Fagone and Johnson were arrested and charged with Trafficking Heroin (18-36 grams), Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute (subsequent offense), Possession of Class B (amphetamines) With Intent to Distribute, Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Laws. Fay was arrested and charged with Trafficking Heroin (18-36 grams), Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Class B (amphetamines) Intent to Distribute and Conspiracy to Violate the Controlled Substance Laws

Both Fagone and Fay have extensive criminal records.  Fagone has been convicted of distributing both cocaine and heroin on 5 different occasions dating back to 2003.  Fagone was recently released from Federal Prison after serving a 10 year sentence for drug law violations.  Fay was recently released from the Barnstable House of Correction after serving a sentence for firearm violations.  He is currently out on a 2015 18 month suspended sentence from Barnstable District Court for firearm violations.   

All three subjects were arraigned Thursday morning at Barnstable District Court. Fagone was held on $75,000 bail. Fay was held without bail and Johnson was held on $20,000 bail.
