Three juveniles arrested after stolen vehicle spotted in Mashpee

MASHPEE – Mashpee Police report that Sunday around 5:15 PM, Officer Tamash observed three individuals sitting inside a gray Honda Civic at the Mashpee Neck Boat Ramp. As Officer Tamash passed the vehicle he conducted a query of the vehicles registration. Moments later he received a “stolen vehicle” hit on his MDT that the vehicle was stolen out of Brockton on Saturday.

While awaiting backup at his location before making contact with the occupants, the vehicle passed by his location. Officer Tamash activated his vehicles blue lights to initiate a motor vehicle stop. A short pursuit ensued down residential streets before the suspects vehicle crashed into a snowbank on Starboard Drive.

The operator of the vehicle a, 15-year-old from Brockton, was taken into custody and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license, failure to stop for police and operating to endanger.

Two passengers ages 17 and 15 from Brockton were also taken into custody and charged with receiving stolen property.
