HYANNIS – A tractor trailer struck a traffic light pole at the corner of Route 28 and Yarmouth Road in Hyannis Wednesday afternoon.
The tractor trailer left the scene and a description was given out to the state police. The tractor trailer was pulled over on Route 6 westbound near exit 2 a short time later.
It is unclear if the driver realized he hit the pole. State and Barnstable police are investigating . The department of transportation was notified to make repairs.
