WEST BARNSTABLE – A collision involving a tractor trailer and a pickup truck caused major traffic delays. The crash happened about 12:30 PM on Route 6 eastbound just past the Oak Street overpass. The large dump truck ended up on the guardrail causing a large diesel fuel spill. One person was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with unknown injuries. Eastbound traffic had to squeeze on the left shoulder leading to extensive traffic backup beyond Exit 5 (Route 149). The Service Road also backed up as motorists tried to get around the crash. State Police are investigating the crash.
