Truro man faces heroin charges after Eastham incident


EASTHAM
– Eastham Police report that on Sunday, they received a call from a concerned motorist regarding a vehicle that she was following. The motorist indicated that she was behind a black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck that was driving erratically and had driven off of the roadway, almost striking a guardrail.

Sergeant Schnitzer and Officer Proudfoot responded to this call, locating the vehicle in the Tedeschi’s Food Shops parking lot. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Samuel Widrow, 32, of Truro. After an on scene investigation was conducted, approximately 19 grams of a substance believed to be heroin was located inside of the vehicle.

Mr. Widrow was placed under arrest for Trafficking in heroin, Possession of a Class A Drug (heroin) with intent to distribute, as well as other motor vehicle related offenses. Mr. Widrow was transported to the Eastham Police Department for booking and was subsequently held in custody on $5,000 bail. Widrow was arraigned at the Orleans District Courthouse Monday morning.
