Truro Police accepting applications for dispatch position

TRURO – The Truro Police Department is seeking applicants for the position of Part Time Telecommunicator.
 
It’s an on-call, as needed, position. Responsibilities include receiving emergency and non-emergency calls for Police, Fire and EMS Services, dispatching public safety personnel, providing emergency medical dispatch and pre-arrival instructions, and other related duties.
 
Good computer skills and typing skills are required. Excellent people skills a must. Certifications in enhanced 911, CJIS operation, APCO Basic Telecommunicator, EMD-APCO, CPR/First responder are a benefit but will train.
 
Applications can be obtained at the Truro Public Safety Facility or on the Truro Police Department website.
 
Applications must be returned to the Truro Police Department by 3:00pm January 20, 2017 .
Starting pay rate is $23.49/hr. Applications can be picked up at the Truro Police Department or by downloading below. Completed applications can be brought to the Truro Police Dept or mailed to the following address:
