Two facing drug charges after suspect spotted in Wareham

WAREHAM – Two people are facing drugs charges in Wareham following their arrests last week.

On Thursday afternoon Wareham Police Department Detective William deSilva noticed a vehicle being operated by a female known to have a revoked Mass. Driver’s license at the Depot St./Minot Avenue intersection, followed by the female’s boyfriend, who was operating another vehicle.

The two vehicles were observed traveling across the intersection onto Great Neck Rd., and were located within a short period of time at 2 Cranberry Lane off Great Neck Rd..

That’s the home of 30 year old Mario Ogletree, the boyfriend of the female vehicle operator, 28 year old Wareham resident Christine Quinn.

When the vehicles were approached in the driveway of the residence, Ogletree walked into the house, while Ms. Quinn was seen quickly moving from the driver’s seat to the passenger seat, leaving a plastic baggie containing suspected cocaine and a women’s purse in view on the driver’s seat.

Quinn refused to open the vehicle door, then grabbed the plastic baggie and ran from the vehicle into the house, followed by Detective deSilva, who was prevented from making the arrest of Quinn by Ogletree, who locked the door.

A search warrant was then obtained and executed, during which time cocaine residue and Suboxone were located in a bathroom, along with hypodermic needles and empty baggies.

Also located in the residence was the purse owned by Quinn that allegedly contained several Amphetamine and Xanax pills. Buprenorphine pills were also found in the house.

Christine Quinn was arrested at the scene and charged with the following:

 Operating After License Suspension

  1. Failure to Submit to Police
  2. Resisting Arrest
  3. Possession Class B Substance (Cocaine)
  4. Possession Class B Substance (Xanax – Naloxone)
  5.  Possession of Class B Substance (Amphetamine)

Mario Ogletree has been charged with Resisting Arrest and 2 counts of Possession of Class B Substance (Suboxone & Buprenorphine)

Both parties were arraigned on Friday, April 21st at Wareham District Court.
