PROVINCETOWN – An open house will be held at the Provincetown Police Station at 26 Shankpainter Road, on Saturday March 25th from 11am to 2pm for anyone interested in understanding the condition of the current police station.

Police Officers will be on hand to answer questions regarding the condition of the current building as well as proposed replacement building.

Plans call for the $8.625 million facility to be constructed on Jerome Smith Road between Route 6 and Shank Painter Road. The proposal will go before town meeting voters this spring.

The current station on Shank Painter Road was built in the mid-1980s. It was previously used as a funeral home.
