WELLFLEET – Work is underway on clearing a lot next to the Wellfleet Elementary School where trailers will house the Wellfleet Police Department on a temporary basis.
Voters approved the $7.5 million plan to renovate the station last November.
The renovated station should be completed by September 2018.
Once the work is complete, the trailers will be removed and site cleaned. The cleared lot will serve as additional parking for the elementary school and town.
