Yarmouth DNR assists vessel taking on water outside Bass River



YARMOUTH
– The Yarmouth Division of Natural Resources (DNR) responded to the scene with a boat taking on water 3/4 mile off of Bass River.

Patrol Boat J-49 along with Patrol Boat J-47 responded to the vessel in distress. Yarmouth Fire Department, MA and Yarmouth Police provided assistance as well.

Patrol Boat J-47 successfully transferred a dewatering pump to the vessel and they were keeping the up with the leak.

A commercial tow service was requested to the scene by the boat owner to assist and tow the vessel to shore.
