Yarmouth Police conduct mental health outreach visits

YARMOUTH – As part of the Yarmouth Community Policing Strategic Plan, members of the Yarmouth Police Department Mental Health Outreach Team conducted several follow-up visits with identified individuals and offered support and case management services Friday morning.

The goal of the outreach is to connect those that suffer with mental illness with the appropriate community based supports in hopes that they will receive the help they need.

The specially trained police officers are actively building ongoing relationships with service providers and stakeholders throughout the community designed to offer the best services available to people in need.

Yarmouth Police urge residents to let them know if you or a loved one needs help.
