YPD seize cash and arrest two for trafficking fentanyl

YARMOUTH – On Tuesday at 7:30 PM the Yarmouth and Dennis Police Department Detective Divisions executed a search warrant obtained by Yarmouth Police Department Drug Enforcement Detective Scott Lundegren at 2 Ivanhoe Avenue, West Yarmouth, Massachusetts.

The search warrant authorized Police Officers to search for Heroin, a Class A controlled substance and evidence related to the distribution of Heroin. The search warrant also authorized the search of the person of Nicholas Valeri and any persons present in the location to be searched. The search warrant was obtained based on probable cause developed during the investigation into the distribution of Heroin by Nicholas Valeri.

A search was conducted and resulted in the arrest of two persons living in the residence and the seizure of the following items:

Fentanyl (21.0 grams)
Suboxone Strips 2mg (3 strips)
Boxed Sandwich Baggies
Digital Scale
Trazodone Pills (3)
Methadone Pills (11)
Gabapentin Pills (4)
Clonidine Pills (4)
Cash / US Currency $3,336.00

The couple, who are well known to Cape Cod Law Enforcement—were processed at Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters and arraigned in the Barnstable District Court on Wednesday and were held on $5,000 cash bail on Valeri and $500 cash bail on Wallace.

Nicholas M, Valeri, 22, and Ivy L. Wallace, 25, both of West Yarmouth were both charged with:
Trafficking fentanyl – 10 grams or more
Possession of a Class B substance (suboxone)
Possession of a Class B substance (Methadone M5771)
Possession of a Class E substance (Clonidin R129)
Possession of a Class E substance (Clonidine U137)
Possession of a Class E substance IGabapentin 215)
Possession of a Class E substance (Trazadone Pliva 434)
