9 Things To Do This Halloween: Your Cape Cod Halloween Guide

Your Cape Cod Halloween Guide

Cape Cod Halloween

During the month of October Cape Cod features many activities leading up to and on Halloween. Rich in Halloween tradition, the Cape has haunted houses, haunted hayrides, costume parties and trick or treating.  Influenced by Salem and its Witch Trials, Halloween is scary, exciting and fun.  Most Cape towns have their own ghostly, bone chilling stories, and many inns and taverns have their own haunting lore. The tale of Goody Hallett, the Witch of Eastham, is one of Cape Cod’s best ghost stories and stories of witches, ghosts and ghouls are retold throughout October.  Scary visages can be found all over the Cape, and, if you’re brave enough, you can visit haunted locales to hunt for ghosts.

Of course, pumpkins are ubiquitous in October and on display for the entire month.  Pumpkin carving and bake sales featuring pumpkin pie are just two events revolving around pumpkins, and if you’re looking for something to do with the kids the Cape features many events that are great fun for the whole family:
