Uncle Lumpy’s Chocolate Vanilla Porter Cake is a rich chocolate cake flavored with the British Beer Company’s own Uncle Lumpy’s Vanilla Porter, brewed in partnership with the Woodstock Inn & Brewery in NH and made for them by Montillio’s Bakery located in Brockton, MA.

The partnership illustrates the BBC’s commitment to using local partners whenever possible and our desire to serve the freshest food.

The British Beer Company had long looked for a brewing partner to create world class drinkable beers for our customers. The Woodstock Inn & Brewery had the BBC finally yelling Uncle! Uncle Lumpy’s that is. The BBC and The Woodstock Inn spent months coming up with the perfect Vanilla Porter & our much beloved Uncle Lumpy’s Vanilla Porter is the real deal. Uncle Lumpy’s is a dark full-bodied porter with black patent and chocolate malts shining through and features a light vanilla aroma and finish.

The Vanilla Porter pours at all BBC pubs and soon will be found in package stores. The British Beer Company has 13 locations in Mass & New Hampshire with our 14th Pub in Worcester opening late January.

Head Chefs James Gibney & Karl Mussman first came up with the idea of creating a British Beer Company Signature dessert over, of course, an Uncle Lumpy’s Vanilla Porter. Tired of ordinary desserts, the guys brainstormed something local and delicious using our signature Porter. Reaching out to Montillio’s, a much loved local brand known for their quality was a natural fit!
