I am conflicted….
I just (finally) got a washer and dryer for the house.
Now, instead of going to the throwback laundromat in Dennisport, I can do the wash at home, in warmth and comfort.
However, I kinda miss thinking Fonzie is going to walk in at any second. Blow on his fist, punch the dryer, and all the coins are going to pop out. It was easy all the wash was done, folded and put away in one fell swoop at the ‘ol laundromat.
At home, it’s all over the place. Folded stuff on the dryer, the kids clean clothes still in the dryer. The dreaded load of musty smelling clothes I forgot to take out of the washer and put in the dryer. Those are usually mine. As of this writing I am wearing sweatpants and an old T-Shirt, that’s what was left.
I am grateful that i can wash at home, but I miss the nostalgia and people watching that happened at the laundromat.
Gotta go…dryer just buzzed!!
