For years, my Mom hosted Thanksgiving and that’s where I would go every year for dinner. Then once my husband and I got a house of our own, we decided we would like to host instead. We also decided that Thanksgiving isn’t just for family, it’s for everyone we care about. So every year, we do ‘Friendsgiving’…where it’s family, friends and anyone else that doesn’t have a place to go and would like to join us. Last year was the first year we did ‘Friendsgiving’ and it was so much fun! It’s a lot of work, as we hosted about 15 people, but it’s a great time!
This year, we don’t have quite as many people, about half actually, which will hopefully be a little less work for me, but it will still be fun I’m sure. That’s our new tradition that we hope to carry on every year that we host, ‘Friendsgiving’, give it a try!
