What a week for New England sports, good, bad, and goodbye.

GavinRalphieI want to say as many of you know, I grew up in New York, and remain loyal to the teams I grew up rooting for, and it’s painful.

My children had done the majority of their growing up here in New England, and have had the pleasure of seeing winning on a regular basis. Since the Mets were eliminated last week, and the Jets are, well, the Jets. I watched this weekend from your perspective, the New England fan.

I was rooting for Tom Brady as he totally lit up the Cleveland Browns, like a surgeon. The 2016 revenge tour is going to be fun to watch, and making the commissioner of football  look bad is just fun!! I thought of my son who was as excited as he ever was that his QB was back. I am sure the Patriots will be a contender for another Super Bowl. Oh, FYI, the Jets got smacked around, and just looked awful.

And now, David Ortiz, has said goodbye, and is officially a Red Sox legend. The Sox are out of the postseason, and the next season of David’s life begins. He was just great, and I wish the Mets were saying goodbye to a legend, and not getting tee times.

Having lived here many years, it’s been fun to watch Ortiz play. What a great hitter, and an even greater person. How he helped this city heal after the marathon bombings, and so much more.

I cannot turn my back on the teams I grew up with, I am though, keeping an “eye” on your teams, just so my son and i have something talk about….

Did I just cheer for the Pats??? Nooooo that was dust that got in me 🙂
