10 Questions with The Bachelorette’s Chris Lambton

Chris Lambton brought Cape Cod to the small screen when he competed for Ali Fedotowsky’s heart on the 6th season of ABC’s The Bachelorette. During hometown visits, Chris introduced Ali and the viewers to Dennis, the Cape Cod bracelet, and Corporation Beach. Two things that stood out was Chris’s love of Cape Cod and how much he valued his family. He’d moved back to the Cape to care for his mother before she passed away and had continued to work in the family business, E. Lambton Landscaping

Ali eventually picked someone else, but The Bachelor was responsible for Chris’ happily ever after. Chris met his wife, Peyton Wright, who appeared on season 10 of The Bachelor, through a mutual friend, another Bachelor alum. Keeping up?

With a new season of the Bachelorette making headlines, I caught up with Chris to find out how life on the Cape is treating him now.

How is your family and your family business?

My family is doing great. My wife and I just had an addition to our family with our baby daughter Lyla James Lambton. Its been so much fun so far. My dad and brothers are all doing well and we still work together in the family landscaping business E. Lambton Landscaping.

What are some of your favorite things to do on the Cape with your family?

Cape Cod was such a wonderful place to grow up. My favorite memories are on the beach in the summer with our extended family. It was so much fun playing on the beach with my brothers and cousins. I am looking forward to sharing that same experience with my daughter and nephews.

What is life like for you now?

Life is busy right now. I am trying to balance work and family while still taking some time to relax!
I recently saw you had a pilot, Lawn and Order, on DIY. Will we be seeing you on TV again?

I am currently taping the first season of Lawn and Order so it will start airing next spring once we finish all the shows. My wife and I are also taping a pilot in August where we get to work with Boston based company, Wayfair, so we are excited about that as well. I also get to go on the Today Show and Good Morning America every few months which is lots of fun.

What else are you working on right now?

I still find time to work with my dad and brother doing landscape projects here on Cape Cod including the landscaping at the new education and retreat center for Compassionate Care ALS in Falmouth. CCALS is the organization that helped out my mom while she was battling ALS.

Do you ever watch The Bachelor or The Bachelorette now?

My wife, Peyton, is still an avid watching of all things Bachelor. I tune in every now and then but usually sports take precedence.

What do you think of the new Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsey?

She seems like she will be a great Bachelorette from the interviews and part of the first episode that I watched!

Do you keep in touch with anyone from the “BachelorNation”?

I keep in touch with lots of guys from my season and a few from other seasons. The guys from my season have a great text chain going and we text quite a bit!

Although you didn’t marry the Bachelorette, you did marry someone from Bachelor Nation, will you and Peyton show your daughter the tv shows one day?

I haven’t thought about that yet but I am sure once she gets old enough we will show her. It will probably still be on tv at that point too!

We do something called The Short List. What would be your picks for best place on the Cape for Ice Cream, Lobster Rolls, and pizza?

The best place for Ice Cream is Sunday School Ice Cream. For Lobster Rolls, I love the snack bar at Corporation Beach because it also has an amazing view for sunsets. For pizza,  Giardinos on 28 in Yarmouth has been my favorite pizza since I was a little kid.
