Bold Barbecue at Billy Goat’s in West Dennis

Billy Goat's BBQ

Picture 1 of 7

This week I tried out Billy Goat’s BBQ and Grill down in West Dennis. The recommendation? Drop what you’re doing, and head there for dinner.

Our first impression was the uniquely decorated interior and the absolutely heavenly barbecue smell that smacked us us as soon as we walked through the door. Every booth, chair, and light was coordinated to the same casual barbecue aesthetic. There were even billy goats mounted along one of the walls.

Our service was some of the best we’ve had on the Cape. Our server went above and beyond to double check allergy questions, and the chef whipped us up a grilled chicken plate, in place of a battered chicken plate, to accommodate a gluten allergy. They did this at their own suggestion, even though it wasn’t a specific on the menu–we were so appreciative!

The most enjoyable part of the experience was absolutely the food. It was hands down, the best barbecue we’ve had around. I had the pulled chicken barbecue caesar salad, and my partner ordered the grilled chicken tray with sweet potato fries. The chicken was brilliantly seasoned and perfectly tender. The portions were also huge, and we were both thrilled to have a delicious lunch with the leftovers the next day.

Billy Goats is located at 581 Main Street in West Dennis. They are open from Monday-Thursday 4:30 ’til 10pm, and from Noon on Saturdays and Sundays. On rainy days, they open early for lunch too!
