Make Cape Cod Cocktails at Home with Wequassett Resort

Spring has sprung, the sun is shining, and we’re dreaming of summer. 

If you just can’t wait until you’re spending your days on a Cape Cod beach, we’ve whipped up a way to have a taste of the summer at home. 

The bartenders and beverage managers at Wequassett Resort are busy creating their menus for the summer. In the meantime, they were nice enough to provide recipes for a few of their signature drinks. 

Garden Martini

  • 2 oz Bombay Saphire
  • 2/3 oz Lemon Juice
  • 2/3 oz Simple Syrup
  • ½ oz Egg White
  • 3 drops Celery Bitters
  • 3 Basil Leaves
  • Shake over Ice, Double Strain into a Coupe or Martini Glass

Belvedere Bramble

  • 5 oz Belvedere Vodka
  • 1 oz Blackberry Shrub
  • Simple Syrup
  • 1 oz Apple Juice
  • 2/3 oz Lemon Juice
  • ½ oz Crème de Mure
  • Shake and Strain over Rocks
  • Garnish with Sugar Coated Blackberries, Mint Sprig

For the Blackberry Shrub:

  • Combine 2 parts macerated blackberries, 1 part sugar in a jar and let steep for 2 days. Strain through a cheesecloth and add balsamic vinegar to taste

Chili Tequila Mule

  • 2 oz Milagro Reposado Tequila
  • 2/3 oz Honey Syrup
  • 2/3 oz Lime Juice
  • ½ oz Canton Ginger Liqueur
  • 3 chunks Jalapeno
  • Ginger Beer
  • Shake, double strain over rocks with Ginger Beer
  • Garnish with lime and candied ginger

To make Honey Syrup:

  • Combine equal parts of honey and simple syrup in a sauce pan over low heat, simmer and then bottle
