New Apps Put Insurance Coverage at Your Fingertips

There are APPS for just about anything imaginable these days. There are meal planning apps, apps that direct you to the cheapest gas station in the area, an app to help turn a serial spender into a serial saver, an app to help you get the cheapest airfare, loads of fitness apps, and the list goes on and on.

Many insurance carriers now offer an app to help their customers with their insurance. Fair Insurance has been in business on Cape Cod since 1987 and says this is a great extension to help customers stay in control and up to date on their insurance policies. By using the app you’re able to log in from your iPhone or Android and access your account any hour of the day. You can view your account, pay your bill and even report a claim wherever you are. You can view the history of your home and auto claims; see appraisals and payments by looking at the claim history. You can view the coverage on your policy, you can see who the listed operators are, and get insurance ID cards. You can update the contact information, and in some cases you can even access roadside assistance.

Imagine you have the unfortunate experience of an auto accident. Fair Insurance says the app could allow you to photo the damage and send it to the company. It will help collect the information the company needs, and help to keep you calm.

Or picture this: It’s 5:30 in the morning, you’re on your way to the airport for a two week vacation, and you remember you didn’t pay your auto insurance bill which is due in 2 days. While waiting for the flight to board, you log in to pay your bill, and now the worry of seeing “CANCELLED” when you return home is gone!

Sometimes new technology can be difficult to navigate, but Fair Insurance says they’ll help you set up the app, and walk you through the process. “We are here to assist you, to help you get the best experience possible, and try to make “insurance” a whole lot easier,” says Kathy Silvia of The Fair Insurance Agency. FAIR INSURANCE, a name you can trust! Since 1987.
