Mill Hill Club

The Mill Hill Club originally opened in the 1950s as a club and quickly became a very popular spot with young adults as the years passed. In 2014 the decision was made to demolish the Mill Hill Club, which closed permanently in 2008, to make room for a senior care facility. The club had hosted acts such as BB King, the Grass Roots and Herb Reed of the Platters. Small Local Movie Theaters

Many of the smaller local movie theaters that used to be popular spots with Cape Codders have since been replaced with major chain theaters. These newer theaters take up more space and don’t have the same charm that the older theaters used to have.

Quiet Streets in January

The population of Cape Cod has grown over the years with more year round residents present year after year. What used to be a silent winter now has more and more people on the roads. Cape Cod previously could had been called a ghost town once summer came to an end, but no more.

Street Intersections without Stoplights and Stop Signs

As Cape Cod has developed and become more and more of a destination spot with tourists the need for more stoplights and stop signs has become a necessity. With so many cars on the road these have become a must for not only safety, but ease of travel as well.

The original cottage colonies on Cape Cod originated in the 1930s and were small cottage neighborhoods. When exploring the Cape, many of the old cottages from decades past can be seen near the shoreline. These original cottage colonies have become synonymous with Cape Cod and only recently have new cottage colonies started being built.
