DENNIS – A woman’s ring was left in a pair of gloves found in the parking lot of Agway of Dennis, and the search is on to find its owner.

The gloves were found in the parking lot of the pet store and garden center on Route 134 on November 21 by a local electrician.

The electrician, who wished to remain anonymous, said that one of his children tried on the gloves a week later and found the ring.

He said he doesn’t want to describe the ring.

“I don’t mind returning something, but I want the actual owner to get it. It’s got to be a mystery as to what kind of ring it is. If someone can identify it, I will gladly give it back to the owner.”

Agway posted a picture of the gloves on their Facebook page in the hopes of finding the owner, and the post has so far been seen by over 60,000 people and has over 150 comments.

Agway of Dennis Store Manager Elizabeth Jenks was glad that the electrician found the gloves.

“I’m grateful that he picked those up in our parking lot and followed through, came back in to see if we could find the owner,” said Jenks. “Not sure if everyone in that position would’ve done it, but it’s nice to know that people out there would respond that way.”

The electrician said he knows there are others who would’ve done the same thing.

“I would think the next person would’ve returned it too. Dennis is a wonderful town.”

Jenks said that they’re hoping the search for the ring’s owner ends soon.

“A lot of the staff here, myself and the owners, we’re all waiting to hope that we can find this person, whether it’s before Christmas or after Christmas, we’re all rooting to find that person and return the ring to them,” said Jenks.

Anyone with information on who the ring may belong to, are encouraged to contact Agway of Dennis.
