Local Restaurant Offering Furloughed Federal Workers Free Meals Amid Shutdown

HYANNIS – British Beer Company, Inc. has an offer for federal workers on furlough who aren’t being paid during the ongoing shutdown of the federal government.

In Massachusetts, those employees work in the Departments of Interior, Transportation and Health and Human Services. In New Hampshire affected employees work in the Departments of Homeland Security, Agriculture and Interior.

This one-time offer, valued up to $50 per family (alcohol not included) is available at British Beer Company restaurants in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

You’re encourged to make a reservation to let the staff know you are among those being affected by the government shutdown.  A federal ID will need to be shown.

In Massachusetts, BBC pubs are located in Cedarville, Hyannis, Falmouth, Franklin, Pembroke, Sandwich and Westford. In New Hampshire, visit the BBC in Manchester and in Portsmouth.
