Cape Cod Military Support Foundation to Host $10K Raffle Fundraiser for Military Families

FALMOUTH – Someone is guaranteed to walk away with $10,000 on Sunday at the Cape Cod Military Foundation’s Pot of Gold fundraiser.

The proceeds from the raffle and brunch event benefit the organization’s Joint Base Cape Cod Children’s Fund which provides events for Cape Cod military families throughout the year including the Chritmas Party, Easter Egg Hunt, Operation Backpack and Halloween Party.

“Pot of Gold was developed to raise funds to help support the childrens’ program,” said Don Cox, the founder of the Cape Cod Military Support Foundation, which helps families of military personnel on Cape Cod.

The raffle, which is limited to only 500 tickets, includes prizes of $10,000, $1,000, $500 and $100 (5).

As of Wednesday afternoon there were still 25 raffle tickets available. The cost of the tickets is $100 but includes brunch. Brunch only tickets are also available for $35.

The event from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth includes live entertainment and dancing.

“They’ll be 60 silent auction prizes people can go around and bid on and then we are going to have 15 to 20 live auction items,” Cox said.

Cox said many of the auction items include golf outings, dinners and overnight trips including a two-night stay at the Seaport Hotel in Boston.
