YARMOUTH – The Second Annual Freedom Ride, a 50-mile motorcycle riding event recognizing the service and sacrifice of first responders, will take place Saturday, May 31, beginning in the Town of Yarmouth.
Last year, about 250 riders took part, according to one of the principal organizers of the event, Yarmouth Deputy Police Chief Steven Xiarhos. He said the public is invited to join the ride or just watch and cheer on the riders.
There is a $20 fee to participate and proceeds go to benefit the families of first responders who have died in the line of duty.
The ride begins at Yarmouth Police Headquarters at noon on Saturday, May 31, at Yarmouth Police Headquarters.
