3 Appointed to the Cape Cod Economic Development Council Board

BARNSTABLE – The Barnstable County Board of Regional Commissioners recently appointed 3 individuals to the Cape Cod Economic Development Council.

Current board members Felicia Penn and Rick Presbrey were extended with a 3-year terms.

Ross Balboni, who is the current commercial leasing and property manager for Davenport Realty Trust in South Yarmouth, was newly appointed to a 3-year term.

Balboni was a graduate of Sandwich High School and served in the U.S. Army Special Forces in Iraq and received the Army Commendation Medal.

Penn is the current chair of the council and has served on the board since 1998. She also chairs the grants committee which recommends distributions from the Cape & Islands license plate revenues.

Penn serves as a SmarterCape Partner and is a trustee of Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

Presbrey has also served on the board since 1998 and is the chair of the resources committee. He is the founder, CEO and president of Hosuing Assistance Corporation in Hyannis.

The mission of the council is to improve the quality of life for all residents in the county by fostering public policies and financing, through grants, and activities that lead to a healthy year-round economy compatible with the Cape Cod environment and culture.
