“I’m very excited. I’m looking forward to taking over as chief of police. I’m very fortunate to work for such a great police department in a great town. We have a lot of very professional, well respected, police officers and staff here at the department,” said DiMatteo.
DiMatteo said his goal is to continue to the department’s relationship with the community, “The town of Dennis police department is very big on community policing. I believe officers should be getting out there visiting with the citizens, the business owners, it’s a two-way partnership.”
